It’s a hive of activity at the moment at the Avontuur Stud Lounge and Stable block inside the TBA Sales Complex in Gosforth Park, Johannesburg as the buyers start arriving in droves and finalise their plans for the 2014 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale on Sunday, 27 April and Monday, 28 April.
According to Avontuur GM, Pippa Mickleburgh Lot 28 Amadeo (Dynasty x Sarabande), who is a full brother to impressive race winners like Chesalon, La Volta and Valeta and Lot 68 Matchmaker (Dynasty x Sports Chestnut), who is one of the best yearlings Avontuur has ever produced, are attracting a lot of attention. “The fillies are also often viewed and at the moment looking at the interest shown by potential buyers, the farm has reason to be optimistic about the Sale coming up”, she says.
Visitors are welcome at the Stud Lounge and Pippa and her team are ready with typically generous Avontuur Estate hospitality and some of the best yearlings to date for the discerning buyer.
