After a hectic two weeks of stable visits and stud lounge entertaining at the TBA Sales Complex in Johannesburg, the Sale got under way last Wednesday. Loyal owners, trainers and other clients once again made sure that our yearlings were well supported and have moved on to the next exciting step in their careers.
Comments GM Pippa Mickleburgh; ” All twelve were sold for a sale average of R742 500 allowing us to finish third on the vendor’s list by average. The top price achieved for Avontuur Estate was Craven selling to ex champion SA trainer Tony Millard who is now based in Hong Kong. Trainer Charles Laird bought Palladium, the half brother to Val de Ra for owner Alesh Naidoo for R1, 7 million. Our top filly was Ice Maiden who went to Wayne Kieswetter for R700 000.”
