It’s been a winning weekend for us at Avontuur as we celebrate two incredible performances by our sire Oratorio, who’s sons Mourinho and Military Attack, showed their mettle by coming in third in Group races in Australia and Hong Kong respectively. At the ripe old age of 8 years, they once again show what can be expected of this proven sire’s offspring.
The celebrations are especially enthusiastic for trainer and long-time Avontuur supporter Sean Tarry, who trained the stunning Jet Master filly “Off the Mark” to a spectacular win in the R250 000 Gr 3 Acacia Handicap at Turffontein on Saturday. She’s out of Sports Chestnut and was sold for R800 000 at the Cape Yearling Sale by Avontuur Stud Farm.
