The annual Helderberg Wine Festival takes place from Thursday, 15-Sunday, 18 November and as usual Avontuur is offering a full programme of events for festival goers.
The Festival kicks off with the “Six Senses Evening” at Waterkloof Wines with 23 Wineries and 10 Restaurants participating in the event. Avontuur’s team will be on hand with wines for tasting and sale as well as the Restaurant’s famous Salmon Roses for sale whilst enjoying the sun setting over False Bay from the spectacular setting of this modern wine cellar. During the weekend of the festival, we will have free tastings on selected wines for festival goers, only with the restaurant open for dinner on Friday night. On Saturday and Sunday, join winemaker Jan van Rooyen for the set Test your Taste Buds sessions or just stay on on Saturday afternoon for lavish Patio Platters and background music on the terrace overlooking the Helderberg.
On Sunday, the restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch as usual, and we can all wind down towards Monday after an enjoyable festival.
