We had a bumper December at Avontuur thanks to the loyal support of regular clients as well as hundreds of new visitors and it looks like January is going to be more of the same with winery and restaurant visitors enjoying the sunny weather on the terrace overlooking the green paddocks, the Helderberg and far-off False Bay.
In the tasting room, we’re offering a great special of a 6-pack of the Vintner’s Range with 2 bottles each of the Vintner’s Blend Chardonnay/Pinot Noir, Vintner’s White Sauvignon Blanc/Chardonnay and Vintner’s Red Cab Sauv/Shiraz on offer at only R230 per box. The big news on the stud front this January is surely the eminent arrival of our new proven champion sire, Oratorio (more about that later) and then the Cape Premier Yearling Sale at the CTICC at the end of January when we are offering an excellent selection of Avontuur-bred yearlings for sale to discerning buyers. We are open for viewing and visits from Wednesday, 23 January till the end of the sale period on Friday, 25 January. We look forward to sharing a glass of wine and some canape’s with you!
At the end of January the first “new-look” Stellenbosch Wine Festival kicks off as well, following an international format where the whole of the Stellenbosch wine route is involved with a full programme of events on wineries as well as in town.
