Son of VAR and reigning Horse of the Year Variety Club proved his class yesterday at Kenilworth when he won the Gr 1 L’Ormerins Queens Plate by demolishing quality competition like Jackson and Pomodoro and coming in first by more than 2 lenghts!
In spite of a terrible draw he used every bit of heart and fitness to get in front early and kept that position right through till victory.
We are absolutely thrilled for Variety Club, his jockey Anton Marcus, owners Ingrid and Markus Jooste and trainer Joey Ramsden, all of whom made this incredible performance possible! We look forward to more magical moments from this great race horse.
