Variety Club brings it home for SA, Var & Avontuur

The Avontuur team enjoyed a hugely exciting day at the Dubai WorldCup race day today with an incredible win by super athlete Variety Club in the US$1 000 000 Godolphin Mile.

Under the capable hands of regular jockey Anton Marcus, with SA trainer Joey Ramsden and owners Markus and Ingrid Jooste on hand to enjoy the thrill, this son of Var showed once again why he will go down in SA racing history as one of the greats!  To make matters even more exciting, Soft Falling Rain came in second which made it a first and second for Team SA in this race.

Avontuur GM Pippa Mickleburgh was absolutely over the moon with his performance and the celebrations are surely not going to end tonight!  We look forward to hearing more about the future plans for this incredible ambassador for South African breeding and racing.
