VAR has made us proud again today with the release of the annual racing stats when he came in a good second in the 2yo category just after winner Captain Al! He also did very well in the general sires list at no 4 after greats like Jet Master, Silvano and Kahal with overall stakes of R10 181 360.
Avontuur made the top 10 Breeders’ list for the first time with an excellent performance of 13% wins from only 408 runs – the best % in the top 10! And this year much of the honours must go to Variety Club, who made us proud (mostly ridden by the 2012 champion jockey Anton Marcus).
Some of our favourite guys also made the top spots with Anthony Delpech clocking in at no 3 on the jockeys list and MJ Byleveld just missing out on a top 10 spot.
