Tutored tasting investigates wine glass question?

Avontuur Estate’s winemaker Jan van Rooyen is tackling an interesting question in his tutored tasting in the Estate tasting room between Stellenbosch and Somerset West on Saturday, 17 August:  “Does it matter what vessel is used to drink wine from?  Is glass better than other materials?  Does the shape of a glass enhance or detract from the experience?”

Make up your own mind after participating in this interactive tasting which takes place from 10h30-12h30.

This forms part of Avontuur’s annual Winter Series of Tutored Tastings which tackles some very interesting and off-beat topics every month.  Bring some friends along and book ahead of time as seating is limited to ensure intimacy.

Bookings:  winery@avontuurestate.co.za or +27 21 855-3450. R150 pp.  (Includes welcome drink, tutored tasting and light lunch).
