First up is the Shiraz Showcase, organised by Shiraz SA at the Vineyard Hotel in Newlands, Cape Town on Tuesday, 7 August from 17h30-20h30. Tickets are available from www.webtickets.co.za @ R100 pp. (Includes wine tasting, glass and light snacks)
For a change of pace, join Avontuur’s sales team consisting of W Cape Sales representative Schalk Honeyman and Anelise Meyer, who’s handling our sales in KZN at the first ever Midlands Food & Wine Festival at Notties Hotel on Wednesday, 8 August from 15h00-21h00. Over and above the wine tasting, there will also be lots to eat, a fun wine auction and a cooking demo. Proceeds towards The Rotary Club of Mooi River Midlands. Tickets cost R70 from the Hotel.
End off the month with a tasting in Cape Town at the Vineyard Hotel and Spa on Friday, 31 August from 17h00-21h00 of the 2012 Sauvignon Blancs and current vintage Cabernet Sauvignons, courtesy of Wine Concepts. (The same tasting opportunity is repeated in Joburg on Thursday, 13 September at the Protea Hotel Fire & Ice in Melrose Arch). Tickets for both events are R130 which includes the tasting, a glass and snacks.
