From the middle of October till early in the new year, our pairing in the tasting room is the popular nougat and fudge pairing, in partnership with local artisanal confectionary producer Basilei.
We’ve paired 5 of our wines with 5 sweet treats, specially created and fine tuned to suit the new wines and their flavour profiles. The elegant Basilei packaging makes it a pleasure to do the tasting and this pairing is the perfect stop on your wine route travels. (As the portions are substantial, the packaging also makes it easy to take along to enjoy later too!)
The cost is R120 pp and no bookings are needed although it is better to phone ahead to +27 21 855-3450 or email us at winery@avontuurestate.co.za especially if you are a group or if you are in a bit of a hurry. A little bit of warning gives us time to get your tasting set-up ready for when you arrive.
The tasting room is open daily except on Good Friday, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
