Champion race mare River Jetez gave birth to a flashy VAR colt on Sunday, and we are so happy with them both! After a fantastic local and international career, she came to Avontuur as one of our band of top brood mares, and was immediately in foal to our highly rated sire with the beautiful result now here for all to see.
According to GM Pippa Mickleburgh, the colt is a good size and she’s a great mom, as the pics show.
“We haven’t made a final decision yet on her next cover, but it will probably be Oratorio,” Pippa said. We wait with bated breath, but in the meantime, she is enjoying her first ever foal quietly in the paddocks at Avontuur.
