Viztoria, a daughter of Avontuur’s world-class young sire Oratorio, is one of 12 runners set to line up in Sunday’s Group One Prix de la Foret. Her rivals include star filly Moonlight Cloud as well as such top class performers as Gordon Lord Byron, Style Vendome and Garswood.
The lightly raced Viztoria, a brilliant juvenile last season, has won four of her six starts to date. She beat a smart field of colts and geldings last time out when successful in the Group 2 Park Stakes at Doncaster.
Her sire currently heads both the Singapore and Italian sires list. Oratorio, whose sons Military Attack and Biz The Nurse have been two of the stars of the 2013 racing season, is the sire of 38 stakes winners – of whom six are Group One winners.
Champion sire in Italy in 2012, Oratorio is also the sire of dual classic winner Cherry Collect, Dubai carnival hero Moonwalk In Paris and Breeders Cup hope, Clenor.
Oratorio is fully booked for his first South African season and stands for a fee of R80 000.
