Next Friday, 1 November sees the last of our live music evenings for this year with Peter Wyness performing on the terrace from 17h00 till 20h00.
Head, hands & feet is a treat for those music boffs who believe in what you see is what you get. Peter Wyness worked the hotel circuit for many years leaning towards the acoustic side of the music spectrum. Specializing in more intricate folk singer / guitar styles such as Jim Croce, James Taylor, Harry Chapin etc and crossing over to blues, light jazz influences and a little African feel along the way, he is the only one man band of his kind in South Africa providing a fresh approach to the term unplugged. Playing guitar, blues harp, bass drum, brush peddle drum, finger maracas and special brass effects with his mouth, he is quite the entertainer.
There are few better ways to ease into the weekend than with a relaxed Friday afternoon’s live music at Avontuur and especially now as the sun sets later over the Helderberg and False Bay.
Terrace platters will be on sale and it’s best to come early to ensure good seats, especially if you have a group of friends who want to sit together.
See you next Friday.
