Saturday was one of those outstanding days for any racing fan, when Avontuur-bred Legal Eagle won the Gr1 Queen’s Plate for the third time in a row. This has only been done once before by the legendary Pocket Power so the jubilation at Avontuur Estate on the farm, and by the Avontuur crowd at the Kenilworth Race Course can be understood.
