Winter is here with snow, rain and grey skies, but at Avontuur we enjoy sharing our wonderful red wines, our cosy tasting room and our warm hospitality with you.
Our winter pairing tasting is a local favourite, “Red Wine & Biltong”, with great products provided by Joubert and Monty Famous Biltong, paired with three of our Reds and the Above Royalty Liqueur Wine @ R50 pp. Available daily for casual visits, but if you want to bring a large group, make sure you book at winery@avontuurestate.co.za so that we can set up beforehand.

“ TANK & BARREL” TASTING SERIES STARTS
Winemaker Jan van Rooyen will be sharing some of his secrets with a small group of wine lovers at one occasion per month, starting on Thursday, 26 June from 18h00-20h00. In keeping with our Cab Franc theme, the group will be tasting bottled, tank and barrel versions of this versatile grape, and ask all the questions you have about winemaking and ageing. R100 pp. (Ticket includes a welcome drink, the tank and barrel tasting, soup of the day with freshly baked bread and a post-dinner treat).
