Whether the weather is hot or cool, dry or wet and normal or abnormal, there’s one thing that stands as a fact! February is harvest time in the Boland!
And so it is at Avontuur where the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay for our MCC started coming in in January already, and winemaker Jan van Rooyen and his team are now totally immersed in tonnes of grapes ranging from deep purple Pinotage and the first of the Sauvignon Blanc!
We wish our hard-working vineyard team as well as the crew in the cellar and our winemaker the best of luck with harvest 2018 and can’t wait to taste the fruit of their labours in about 8 months time.
