We invite Tatjana Mihajlov Pilbeam the developer of the ‘Go Beauty’ cell phone app to report back on her meteoric journey from conceptualisation to launch of an app that has taken SA by storm.

In case you STILL don’t know,  the GoBeauty app is a smartphone app you can download from your mobile phone app store for free that gives you the largest collection of beauty salons and spas in South Africa you can browse, find specials, and book directly. You can see all different hair, nails, beauty salons, spas, laser and slimming clinics just about anywhere in South Africa.
How does it work? As soon as you open the app it gives you the map of the area where you are at that time, and the different pins indicate beauty salons and spas around you. The pink pin with crown means the place has specials that day or the following.
If you click on the pin you will be able to see more details, as well as the treatment, time and price you will pay at the salon. You can choose what suits you and click on request. The salon gets your request and replies with a confirmation.
You can also search by the treatment you are looking for and find places where you can have it done. If you don’t find a suitable date and time listed, you can request a different time and treatment and they’ll call you back to arrange.
