Avontuur-bred 3yo filly Cold as Ice (Western Winter x Viva) strode away for a effortless win in the R150 000 listed Laisserfaire Stakes over 1000m at Kenilworth yesterday. Trained by Joey Ramsden and ridden by Sean Cormack, who had an armchair ride as she took on the opposition and a strong South-Easter with ease, the filly showed her class by winning against a strong field.
Breeder Pippa Mickleburgh was on course to see her take the first place giving her 4 wins and one place out of 5 starts and is excited to present her half-sister, Live Life (Trippi x Viva) at this year’s Cape Premier Yearling Sale, on at the CTICC on 22 and 23 January.
