It was a perfect summer day at Avontuur Estate this morning when the 3 lucky winners of last year’s Backing the Best campaign arrived to collect their prizes from the Avontuur team represented by Michael, Tara, Nolan and Phillip Taberer.
First prize went to David Kaplan who arrived with his wife Hege from Observatory to collect his state of the art wine fridge and premiere range wines to fill it up with. Second up was Mark Fletcher from Brackenfell who was thrilled to get his Vinowall wine storage unit from Vinowall owner Chris Hartley and a selection of premiere range wines to enjoy. Wouter Olivier from Somerset West was third and collected his Vinowall and wine with a big smile!
The Backing the Best campaign promoted our premiere range of wines in Spar stores and Tops at Spar’s in the Western Cape and for the first time, put some of these limited volume wines out there in the public domain. We hope to continue supplying these outlets and make it easier for fans to get hold of their favourite tipple!
