Avontuur Wine Estate and Restaurant is proud to participate in the third “Taste of the Helderberg” Wine Festival at the NH Lord Charles Hotel in Somerset West on Thursday, 6 June from 17h00 to 21h00.
After chatting to winemaker Jan van Rooyen, it was decided to offer wines best suited to the cold winter weather expected on the night, and therefore the 10 year old Brandy will be offered for tasting in dark chocolate cups at R10 per portion and our Estate Pinotage 2008 is perfect for freezing nights.
The restaurant is preparing portions of their popular salmon roses with wasabi mayo and caviar sprinkles which will be for sale at their stand next to the winery’s and Zunia and Melanie, our well-known foodie team, will be on hand to make sure the tummies are full! With the salmon roses, Jan suggests a tasting of the 2012 Vintner’s Blend Chardonnay/Pinot Noir or the barrel fermented Chardonnay Reserve Luna de Miel 2010.
Tickets are R70 each and includes a branded tasting glass. Tickets can be pre-booked at bjorn@cvomarketing.co.za or bought at the door.
