At Avontuur Wine and Thoroughbred Estate, we don’t only celebrate the human female of the species in August as part of Woman’s Month; it’s also all the wonderful 4-legged equine females, who form the backbone of our thoroughbred stud farm, who are lauded at the same time!
However, the main reason for this national celebration in South Africa is to commemorate the peaceful woman’s march to the Union buildings during the dark days of Apartheid – and in that spirit, we would like to treat the ladies this month.
Over and above the very popular “I am Beautiful” event offered by our restaurant on Thursday, 9 August (which is already booked out), the tasting room has a great deal on with a 10% discount on the award-winning Luna de Miel Chardonnay Reserve 2010, our MCC Brut and the crisp and fresh 2010 Sarabande Sauvignon Blanc, from today till Sunday the 12th.
All ladies are also eligible for a free tasting of any of our wines on Woman’s Day itself! (Usual price R20 or R40 depending on wines selected).
