Son of VAR, Variety Club made a clean sweep at last night’s glamorous Cape Breeders and WP Racing Association awards, held at Nooitgedacht near Stellenbosch, when he won the Horse of the Year Award, as well as the Champion Older Male and Champion Middle Distance Horse accolades.
Congratulations to his breeder Anton Shepherd of Beaumont Stud, owner Markus and Ingrid Jooste and trainer Joey Ramsden, who are probably still celebrating!
The star himself is currently in Mauritius en route to an international campaign and the wishes of the whole of the SA racing fraternity goes with him.
